2) I have created this platform because I want to understand why Black Americans are not doing as well as other Americans in this country. So, the plan is to go issue by issue with decent research, analysis and finally a conclusion; and then publish an essay where I declare my position on said issue. After posting my essay, I hope to engage in spirited and civil discussion and let’s figure out if I’m 100%, 75%, 50%, etc. right on my assertions.
1) Greetings, welcome to Essays From a Black Patriot! My government name is Johnny Michael C. but on this platform, I will go by the alter ego name of ESB! I am a mid-60 year old Black American citizen of the United states by way of birth!
3) Another reason for creating my own platform is to have total control. In the past, when I have attempted to have spirited discussions on controversial topics ( confederate flag and statues, January 6th incident ), I used the Facebook platform which Facebook controls in ways that are unknown to me. I had no way of knowing who saw my posts and so I could not be sure who I was reaching.
